NJ State PBA Files Lawsuit On Behalf Of Its Members Challenging The Pension and Benefit Law!
The New Jersey State PBA and the New Jersey State FMBA, joined by other public employee unions, filed a lawsuit in federal court challenging the constitutionality of the recently enacted pension and health benefit law. This filing is a necessary first step to raising serious constitutional questions with the law.

In the meantime, the State PBA, State FMBA and our members will continue, as we do no matter what, serving the people of New Jersey when they need us most.

#1 OFF DUTY EMPLOYMENT IS NOW IN YOUR REGULAR PAY CHECK AND GIVES YOU PROTECTION UNDER THE PENSION.
#2 LANGUAGE CHANGE IN CONTRACT BEREAVEMENT DAY INCREASE FOR PARENTS FROM 4 TO 5 DAYS.
#3 TRAINING OFFICER PAY FROM 2 DOLLARS AND 35 CENTS A DAY TO AN HALF HR OF OVERTIME.
#4K-9 ON CALL PAY CHANGED FROM 15 DOLLARS A DAY TO 25 DOLLARS A DAY.
#5 SENIORITY DOES NOT TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER AGENCY.
#6 HOW LANE POST INCREASED FROM 1 HR TO 1 .5 HRS.
#7 INCREASED OFF DUTY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
#8 CHANGED TO A BETTER ATTORNEY AND SAVED MONEY.
#9 CHANGED ACCOUNTANT AND SAVED MONEY.
#10 SIGNED 2 CONTRACTS UNDER DIFFICULT TIMES THANKS TO GOVERNOR CHRISTIE.
#11 GOT CLASS B UNIFORMS AND NEW HATS.
#12 FILED HOSPITAL DETAIL GRIEVANCE WITH PERC WE FEEL ALL DETAILS SHOULD BE 2 MAN AND ALWAYS WILL.
#13 WE FORMED A GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE.
# 14 WE ALSO HAVE ONE OF THE BEST WEBSITES IN THE STATE FOR OUR MEMBERS.
